You’ll be seeing a lot of these gals in the coming months – whether it’s content popping up on your feed, an exclusive discount they provide you with or takeovers on our Instagram Stories, these huns are here to give you an insight into student life and to create some exclusive content especially for you. It’s time to meet our 4 Student Ambassadors.
Millie, University of Huddersfield (@milliegshields)
‘Hey guys, my name is Millie Shields (but you can call me Mil) and I’m a 21 year old Welsh girl living it up in England studying for my degree in Fashion Creative Direction. If I had to describe myself in 3 words, it would probably be weird, laid-back but with a brilliant sense of humour and sexy (I’m all for a bit of self-love). That was more than 3 words, oops!
I find it really hard to define my style in one word but I LOVE a statement piece and bold colours. I’m a self-confessed lover of coffee, all things neon, abstract art and Japanese sweet treats. When I’m not studying, I fill my spare time with photography and producing short fashion films where I can let my imagination run away with me. At weekends I’ll either be at the gym or having brunch and cocktails with my girls.
I hope to be a positive voice for the student #EGOSquad and to hopefully provide some outfit inspo for you guys!’
Charl, University of Warwick (@charldyson)
‘So this is my first blog entry for EGO! Firstly, I guess I should thank my parents for genetically modifying me through IVF to become smart enough to be writing this (this is actually partly true). I’m not actually entirely sure how I got this opportunity but I’m definitely going to be posting about this on my Instagram a lot.
So a few completely random facts about me:
– My full name is Charlotte Emily Anne Dyson and before you say it, yes – people call me ‘Hoover’ and I am named after all 3 of the Bronte sisters. I’m 19 and I was born and bred in Yorkshire which is the best place in the UK (a biased opinion of course)
– I’m currently studying English Language and Linguistics at the University of Warwick which has actually had some negative publicity recently but I promise it’s not that bad!
– I LOVE looking at videos of fainting goats (Google it, you won’t regret it), browsing motivational fitness pages on Instagram and ordering too many takeaways with a student loan that I don’t have. I’ve also danced for 15 years of my life and have competed nationally, played tennis semi-professionnally and gradually gained a double chin since then
– The best thing about being a student is definitely the discounts, who wouldn’t want a free Greggs sausage roll?’
India, University of South Wales (@indiadavison)
‘Hey gals! I’m India Davison, I’m 21 and from South Wales, currently in my 2nd year at university studying Fashion Marketing and Retail Design.
You can expect to see a range of different looks from me for different occasions. I love a good day to night look! I’ll wear a blazer and trainers during the day and then just glam it up at nighttime with a little more makeup and some big hoops. I also love going to raves and music events so boots and flatform shoes are often my go-to.
But perspex shoes are my fave ever, they go with everything! If I don’t know what I’m wearing, I always start with perspex shoes because they’re so versatile.’
Mima, Cardiff Metropolitan University (@filestyleme)
‘Hey lovelies! My name is Mima Mahmood and I’m a 2nd year Biomedical Science student based in Cardiff. I was born and raised in Tanzania and moved to the Midlands in my teens.
I love doing absolutely everything and then also nothing … can you relate? I often find myself outdoors taking photos, I’m an infuencer/blogger and I love doing what I do. I started blogging when I was in college – taking photos of my daily outfits on my iPod and posting them on my socials. Having a decent camera now is amazing, I’ve come a long way!
I’ve just recently started my YouTube back up again and I hope to share videos of my personal style, makeup tutorials, fashion hauls, travel vlogs and maybe even recipe videos – who doesn’t like food, right?
I’ve always loved EGO shoes, this is such a pinch-me moment! I’m really looking forward to sharing snippets of my life with you guys and showing you how I style all the latest shoes.’
We’ll be working closely with our girls to create some special content over the coming weeks so keep an eye on our Instagram Stories and in the meantime, follow them to keep up to date with their antics!
