May Highlights: Mid-Month Round Up

In case you've been living under a rock gal, a lot has happened in the last 17 days. We've got a new member of the Royal Family, have watched a very unlikely pairing tie the knot, one particular reality star undergo a massive career change and the announcement of a couple of very exciting celebrity/fashion house collaborations. Feel like you've missed something? Let us bring you up to speed.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Become Parents

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (AKA our fave Royal couple ever) welcomed a beautiful baby boy - Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Ngl we immediately thought of Riverdale's Archie Andrews when we first heard the news but we're quite sure this isn't where they got the name from ... anyway, he's cute as hell and Meghan and Harry look like two very proud, very loved-up parents and we are HERE for it.

Kim K Proves her Commitment to Prison Reform

After her announcement on Instagram that she'd registered with the California State Bar to study law, Kim K received backlash with people saying that it was her 'privilege and money' that allowed her to switch careers. But she's proved that hard work and dedication pays off - in the last 3 months alone, the reality star turned up-and-coming-lawyer is responsible for the release of 17 inmates from prison with the help of her legal team. And she's personally footing the bill for the releases and the legal work required to achieve them. We STAN a woman using her fame and power for good.

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas Tie The Knot

We don't know about you but wow, these two surprised us with this one. Remind us how they even met? With rumours circulating about a wedding this year, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner shocked fans by tying the knot in a chapel in Vegas with a ceremony performed by none other than an Elvis Presley impersonator. Sophie wore a pant suit, the pair exchanged ring pop rings and posed on a pink vintage convertible afterwards. Whaddaya say huns? Could you do a quickie in Vegas?

Killing Eve Takes Home Three BAFTA Awards

It's been over a year since the first episode hit our screens and we've been obsessed with Killing Eve ever since. Following the lives of two fiercely intelligent female characters who become equally as obsessed with each other, this spy-action thriller series had us hooked from day one. And it's finally had the recognition it deserves, winning not one but three BAFTA awards - best drama series, best leading actress for Jodie Comer (our ultimate girl crush RN) and best supporting actress for Fiona Shaw. It was written by Fleabag's Phoebe Waller-Bridge which makes us love it even more. What a woman!

Givenchy Announces Ariana Grande as New Face of the F/W19 Collection

Ari is killin' it RN and we're supporting her all the way. Givenchy posted teasers on social media last week about who their new face could be but with her petite features and signature high ponytail, we all knew immediately that it was Ari. She's wearing the same dress that Audrey Hepburn wore in the opening scene of Breakfast at Tiffany's and the collection (to be released in July) is set to pay homage to the house's long-time muse. The team-up has its own hashtag #ARIVENCHY and we're already counting down to the launch.
