7 Of Our Fav Tips To Unwind

The world is a pretty confusing place atm and it’s important that we all try and stay inside. So if you need a lil pick me up (because I mean who doesn’t rn???), unwinding and relaxing is the answer.

Self-isolation can be really hard to deal with, but it’s totally normal to feel a bit under the weather. Here are a few little tips we’ve put together for you to look after your wellbeing during this time.

1. Schedule in time to relax.

It’s all well and good saying you’re going to relax and unwind, but sitting in bed and mindlessly scrolling on Instagram isn’t unwinding. In our daily lives we don’t really get the chance to take a minute to be mindful. So, if you’re looking for ways to connect more with both your feelings and your body, now is the perfect time to try mindfulness.

2. Let’s get physical.

During this pandemic it’s been advised that we only leave the house for one form of physical exercise a day. This could be a run, you could try yoga in your garden or if you’re lucky enough to have a pet, why not go on a walk. Any of these are better than staying indoors 24/7 and going crazy.

3. Catch up on your reading.

Already exercised your body? Why not exercise your mind? Reading is a great way to stay stimulated when our usual day to day activities are unavailable. We’ve all got that secret stash of books that we’ve bought to read at night instead of going on our phones but are now collecting dust..

4. Wash away the stress.

Working from home can be stressful when your work becomes your home and your home becomes your work. We recommend grabbing a glass of wine and running a nice hot bubble bath, you deserve it sis.

5. Create a mixtape.

Draw the curtains (or leave them open babe, no shame here), turn up the volume and get ready to sing your lungs out and dance around your room to your ultimate fav anthems. It’s time for your guilty pleasures playlist to be played out at full volume!

6. Beauty sleep.

Girls we know how important our 8 hours (minimum) of sleep is every night. Daytime naps may sound like a great idea at 2pm, but really all that’s going to do is ruin your sleeping pattern and no one wants to do their morning team brief while still half asleep.

7. Facemasks are the new makeup.

Your everyday makeup looks have been swapped for face masks and skincare. Who needs makeup when you’re going to be working from home for the next 3 weeks? Use these next few weeks to really nail your skincare routine.

Following these tips, start to incorporate them into your everyday routine. When you’re working from home, work life is still busy – and the balance of work and life and everything in between, it can start to feel a bit much. Why not head over to our Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and blog where we are continuously posting inspiring and happy content to help us all through these tough times.
